Gel Permeation Chromatograph
Gel permeation chromatography (GPC) is used to determine the relative molecular weight of polymer samples as well as the distribution of molecular weights. This device uses a column chromatography technique employing as the stationary phase a swollen gel. The polymer molecules diffuse through the gel at rates depending on their molecular size.
